New Center LIVE! A Transformational Gift: The Schusterman Collection

November 2, 2014 $28.00 - $45.00

In Fall, 2013 Oklahoma philanthropist Lynn Schusterman gave the Museum of Fine Arts the collection of 119 objects of Judaica that she and her late husband, Charles, had amassed through the years. The gift showcases an incredible array of works in silver, metal, paper, textiles, paintings, sculpture, and ceramics spanning three centuries. In a rare appearance, Lynn Schusterman, who seeks to ignite the passion and power of young people to create change in the Jewish community through her foundation, will discuss the collection and the significance of some of the objects with Marietta Cambareri. Cambareri is the Jetskalina H. Phillips curator of Judaica Art of Europe at the Museum of Fine Arts.

A tour of the objects on display will follow the conversation.
