Me’ah Select: The Stories of the Talmud – Akiva and His Students

February 2, 2017 Boston $375.00
talmud2

The Talmud does not use the discipline of philosophy to express ideas. Instead deep ideas and concepts are expressed through the medium of story-telling. In analyzing the Talmudic stories, we would have occasion to include some Bible study and of course something about what mattered to the creators of the Talmud. We will focus on stories that include Rabbi Akiva and then move on to stories that focus on his students.
