Starting Sunday, March 3, we will enter through the “middle gate” known as  Bava Metzia, which is the second tractate in Seder Nezikin (“Order of Damages,” or issues of civil law). This tractate is the second section of a three-section compendium of Talmudic material that was originally a single segment.

Bava Metzia mainly focuses on interpersonal matters that are not connected to damages, such as disputed property, usury, returning lost objects, guarding, renting, borrowing, and responsibilities of workers and employers (from Sefaria.org).
