Synopsis: Rudolf Hoss (Christian Friedel, “The White Ribbon”) is the commandant of the Auschwitz concentration camp. Along with his wife, Hedwig (Sandra Hüller, “Anatomy of a Fall”) and their children, Rudolf wants to build the perfect home for his family. Even though the commandant and his family live directly next to the concentration camp, they create a sanctuary of domestic bliss amid the atrocities happening in the camp next door.
