Join us for a performance project weaving together contemporary dance, traditional Ashkenazic music, & neo-Hasidism! Plus a Community Yiddish dance party!

This performance spans across generations & genres. It reaches back to Adhadar’s traditional, yiddish speaking great-grandparents, reclaiming cultures nearly destroyed by anti-semitism. Nefesh — meaning soul — is portrayed in the details of shuckling, vocal sliding, unmetered singing & krechtsing,. The distinguishing feature of the eastern European Jewish soundscape reflects the labor, sensuality, & life-giving nourishment of sacred service, & spiritual wandering.

Reception with light bites and open bar follows the performance.
